Dominican Rep. TBS round 3 best performance: Gerardo Suero (by Hoops Agents)- May 18, 2021
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 34 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat San Lazaro (#2, 3-1) 84-77. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Mauricio Baez to consolidate first place in the Dominican Rep. TBS. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Mauricio Baez already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Suero had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He just recently signed at Mauricio Baez, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former University at Albany star has very solid stats this year. Suero is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.3ppg), rebounds (9th best: 8.3rpg) and averages impressive 61.3% FGP and 42.9% from behind 3-point line. The second best player in last round's games was 29-year old American Ramon Galloway (190-G-91) of Bameso. Galloway had a very good evening with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Bameso was edged by El Million (2-2) 92-90. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Galloway is one of the most experienced players at Bameso and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.3ppg (#4). He also registered 4.3 boards per game. Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Tevin Glass (206-F-94) of El Million (#5). Glass scored 21 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of El Million, leading his team to a 78-72 win against Los Prados (#8, 0-4). El Million needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Glass has a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.8ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 10.8rpg (6th best). Other top performing players last week: 4. L.J. Figueroa (198-G/F-98) of Barias - 25 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists 5. Jordan Williams (198-SG-92) of Huellas - 33 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists 6. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
